SUBTA is the first and only trade association supporting the rapidly growing multibillion-dollar DTC subscription industry. With over 2,000 members and conference attendees, SUBTA is the industry’s leading voice and ally. SUBTA proudly hosts our 8th annual SubSummit Conference, which is scheduled for May 31- June 2, Dallas, TX. SubSummit is the largest direct-to-consumer subscription conference in the world. This annual experience brings subscription brands together to network, discover vendors, obtain exclusive data and learn best business practices.

Learning about the Role

We’re seeking an experienced, passionate Content Manager with a love of great writing and commitment to nurturing relationships -- both within the company and our loyal partners! 

The Content Manager will grow awareness of SUBTA and SubSummit through content, email, and SEO strategies with a focus on driving traffic to both websites. This job entails creating marketing strategies that engage, acquire, and retain members & attendees while also reviewing assets and resources that support the community’s needs. The Content Manager reports directly to the Director of Marketing and works alongside a team of creatives to craft engaging, meaningful content.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Develop content strategies aligned with short-term and long-term SUBTA marketing objectives. 
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and video teams to create and optimize digital content — in both written and visual form. 
  • Copyedit various content pieces to create publish-ready materials and improve writers’ posts as needed.
  • Maintain brand consistency throughout all projects while communicating with multiple target audiences. 
  • Drive new strategies focused on SEO and email opportunities with regards to historic and new content. 
  • Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and users engagement metrics, including regular reporting and tactic recommendations. 
  • Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic.
  • Develop and maintain an editorial/marketing calendar for content and video team.
  • Ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright and data protection).
  • Stay up to date with marketing trends to generate new ideas and draw audience’s attention.

Content Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of agency experience or in a similar role.
  • Adept at SEO and email marketing best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A nerd for making data-driven decisions alongside a passionate team of marketers.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
